Purchased warranty for financial security. Waste of money!!

Needed a repair for a washer that was less than 2 years old! Warranty guru states its not covered due to misuse and abuse! Biggest bunch of BS not to pay the claim! Havent even washed a blanket or lg or heavyweight items.

8 days waiting for technician.

Dont purchase their bogus warranty. American Home Shield is far superior and hold up to there warranties!

Cannot get anyones to resolve claim been fighting for 3 months. Called For service 02/27/23.

Choice stalled A& E factory to come out to look at problem. Hearrived03/06/23. He told me he was sending a report in to choice warranty (CH) for replacement of refrigerator freezer. Had $ 3000.

Worth of food spoiled since then. Their reliable A& E were supposedly to be here between 8am 5 pm. Guy never showed up until after 6pm. When appointment was made I asked for them to be as early in AM as possible .

Because I have to be up by 4am to be to work. By the time he was done after 2 trips out said he was sending paperwork in for a replacement cause it could not be repaired. Now fighting CW for 3 months and they keep telling me they are sending another tech out again. I am so pissed.

I will never buy another contract from this company again.

They are happy to take your money but refuse to pay out a claim. Been with out refrigerator freezer for 3 months now.

CHW sent a technician out, technician said refrigerator needed to be replaced CHW agreed...CHW called saying they had decided to replace the refrigerator and was offering $475.00 which was an option for them in-lue of replacing the unit.

The Lady said REPLACE in the CHW contract does not mean they have to replace the refrigitortor. They can also offer a buy out which is what they have selected to do.

If I agree they will send the $475 to me within 30 days in the form of a Lowes gift card!

Lowes gift card is how they reimburst you for all refunds,

My washer stopped working on 03-7-2023, and I called Choice to open a claim on it and my refrigerator. My fridge was leaking water.

When I first started with this warranty, I was never told that you have to pay a separate service charge for each appliance. But after getting a service date for a repairman, the first one said the day that I was scheduled that he told them he could not work that day and that he would call me later that day when he looked at his schedule to let me know what time he would come. I told him that I pick up my grandkids from school and could we schedule around that time. Well, when he did call the next day, I was at the school picking up my grands, and it was no way I could get out of the line.

He told me that he would come Saturday if I would be okay with that. I agreed to it. Well Saturday came and by 3:00 pm I had not heard from him. So, I called him, and he texted me back and said I am having vehicle problems.

I never heard from him that day. So Monday, I called and asked to be reassigned another technician. Well after all their explanations and trying to get me to call the technician and I refused to call him again they opened another claim, and that took another week or so. Well here it is March the 27th, the date for the other company to come out, and it is a no show.

I have called and explained to Choice that this is a inconvenience to not have a washer for almost a month. they explained how sorry they were and the only thing I could do was wait for the repairman who is sick to get well or take up more time and open another claim that could take however long for someone to come. Now I understand about the guy is sick but why no one called me to let me know that he was sick, an hour came before he was scheduled to come, I decided to call and see if he was coming and that's how I found out that he was not. So, I called Choice again, and they apologized and told me what my choices were.

So, I asked if I could find someone to repair my washer, and they reimburse them, and their answer was no. My next question, why do you all have these companies where there is only one repairman. They have all these people with warranties, and they cannot fulfill their obligations to us. They have a number 1 rating and people have to wait a month to get a washer or whatever appliance fixed.

Seems to me, they need to get on the ball, or they will lose their customers because this is a very unprofessional way to run a business. I am running out of patience with them!!!

A few days after my 30-day waiting period was up I call choice home warranty to have someone to come and look at it, after 3 called later a technician came out to look at the heater. When he reported back to them, he told them that it does need to be repaired.

And they denied my claim.

2) when you sing up it states on the website that it is only 52 dollars but when they take the money out of your account, they take OUT 63.00 WHEN I called and asked then about that i was told it was for taxes I told they that they never said anything about taxes when i joined. I've reported them to the BBB

Paid for 6 year coverage for new purchase of older home. AC went out due to normal wear and tear, not covered because it must not have been in good working order to begin even though I had proof of servicing just the summer before.

Next Water heater went out, not covered because it's 80 gallons they cover up to 75.

Double Oven went out, covered...but would not cover replacement would only give a gift card of 1000.00 when they are over 3 thousand.

Filed disputes and still nothing, disputes are only to get better explaining of why it is not covered. WORSE COMPANY EVER

They try to get out of paying for repair on most their claims. i have and hade a few climes with them, i have one that they asked me to take one fourth of the price on my dishwasher,i did not. and now i have a leak in one of my toilets, and they are taking their time to repair it knowing that i am wasting water and they called a plumber and he gave them a price but they want him to do something different and he can't he told them in many different way why he can't so they play games they lie they say a plumber said some thing he did not say just to get me to accept their offer .

the report from the service man that checks your issue. Tends to change when they (warranty company) report it to you even when you know what the report is .

. a service TECC shared with me what he was asked to do is not share his diagnoses with the customer on paper he can tell you but not in writing why is that when they come out for service you pay your diagnoses fee to them? Ill tell you why because they can tell you that what service man requested. And it's not covered by insurance, even when you know it's wrong, and you can't do anything about it.

They may tell you will buy it out and they will not pay the amount for a replacement.

they will give you a few Bucs so they don't cover it again and you will pay the difference. To have it repaired so they can cover it when you renew your policy this company plays lots of game on many fronts from advertising, to lying,

wanted to over charge for hot water heater saying extra materials were needed that were not covered and never reimbursed me for what it cost me to replace the hot water heater which was less than what they wanted to charge and no extra parts were needed then i tried to cancel the policy 3 months ago they never cancelled it and now are refusing to refund me the 3 months they charged me

My 80 year old parents, one is bed-ridden one has severe dementia and cannot be left alone. The paid for a four year warranty upfront and after their refrigerator stopped working, we cannot get any sort of resolution to the problem.

Two contractor no-shows, one contractor basically yelled at my father and told him it was his fault the fridge stopped working because he didn't pull the fridge out and clean the dust. He said he would come out in ten days to repair it. The only reason we found this out was because we had to call the warranty company. Needless to say, he did not show for his appointment ten days later to fix the problem.

We try to call the contractor and he will not take our calls and now has blocked our number. I call Choice Home Warranty and they want to start all over again with sending someone out to diagnose the problem. How many times are we supposed to pay $65 over and over again. My parents have been without a fridge for a month now.

This is borderline elder abuse and fraud. We tried to get a prorated refund, but they keep you on hold for hours. We left our number for them to call us back, no call back. We contacted an attorney and are moving forward with this.

Our attorney told us Choice Home Warranty has already been sued in New Jersey and Arizona and that we were smart to document and record all correspondence with the company. We have been contacted by our local news channel and they want to run a story on this, so hopefully this saves others from having to endure this type of event.

This has been a total nightmare. My father is a diabetic and needs his insulin to be refrigerated, so as you can see this goes way beyond fraud. We live in a very sad world.

This is not the world we grew up in. What happened to honesty and integrity.

I called in a claim on December 19, 2022 and have had 3 reassigned because of no shows. I need an electrician to fix a gfi outlet.
